The use of action words is super important. Your main character needs to always be in action, or else the story is going to taper off into a dull, boring sort of slump. And then what will happen? The reader will get bored.
Even if the scene slows down, there has to be some sort of underlying urgency to make them getting up and barreling through a new thing something that has to happen. Give them some form of urgency so that even if they do have to pause, to sit down and take a breather, it can never be for too long. If it takes too long, think of a way to taper the scene out and get on to the next point.
But! At the same time, nothing should be happening too fast. You want your character not to be overwhelmed in such a way that they would die of exhastion. Or you, as the writer, would. Pacing is handy. Write things out as if you would do them, if you could. Or look at how other authors in your favorite books pace things out, and see what works for you.
Keep things rolling at a steady pace, and it'll keep your book rolling smoothly.
